Australian umpire Ben Treloar is currently standing in the Ranji Trophy match between Delhi and Gujarat in Delhi. The fixture began on 18 October and will continue until Wednesday. Treloar is part of the BCCI-CA Umpire Exchange programme between Cricket Australia and the Board of Control for Cricket in India.

Treloar will next be in charge of the Ranji Trophy match between Mumbai and Haryana in Mumbai, starting on 26 October. He has umpired 30 First-Class matches, 20 List A matches and 39 Big Bash League fixtures. He has also stood in two women’s ODIs and four women’s T20Is. Away from the field, he serves as Cricket New South Wales’ Umpire Education Officer.

Indian umpire Parashar Joshi will travel to Australia for two Sheffield Shield matches and a One Day Cup match. He will first officiate Queensland versus Tasmania in Brisbane from 11 November. A One Day match between the same teams at the same venue follows five days later.

Joshi’s stint ends with New South Wales versus Queensland in Sydney from 22 November. His record includes 19 First-Class matches and 32 List A matches, including the Vijay Hazare Trophy and Deodhar Trophy, plus 40 T20s such as the IPL and Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 tournament.

The exchange gives officials experience in different domestic cricket environments. Treloar gains exposure to India’s premier red-ball competition, while Joshi works in first-class and limited-overs cricket in Australia. The programme allows umpires to adapt to unfamiliar playing conditions and competition demands.
