Editorial policy

The standards that govern our journalism: accuracy, independence, fairness and transparency.

Last updated 23 October 2026 · 6 sections

These are the standards we try to follow in everything we publish.

Accuracy

We aim to get the facts right. We rely on official sources, such as governing bodies, leagues and teams, and on established news outlets, and we say where information comes from. We try to make clear what is confirmed and what is still a report.

Independence

We decide what to cover. If the site carries advertising or sponsorships, advertisers and sponsors have no say over our stories.

Sources

We name and link the sources a story is based on, usually at the end of the article. We do not publish rumours as fact.

Opinion and analysis

Opinion pieces are clearly labelled. Analysis explains the facts and numbers it is based on.

Bylines and dates

Each article shows a byline, its publication time and, where relevant, when it was last updated.

Mistakes

We are a small team and we can make mistakes. If you spot one, please tell us through the Contact page; see our Corrections Policy.
