Mumbai Indians have released a predicted playing XI and full squad for WPL 2027 after the mini auction in Kochi, Sportstar reported. The auction took place on Wednesday, October 28, ahead of the fifth edition of the Women’s Premier League. Harmanpreet Kaur leads the side.

Why it matters

Mumbai Indians are a two-time WPL champion, having won the inaugural edition and the 2025 edition, both times beating Delhi Capitals in the final, according to Wikipedia. The franchise is owned by Reliance Industries through its wholly-owned subsidiary Indiawin Sports and is coached by Lisa Keightley.

The mini auction gave MI a chance to reshape its squad after releasing wicketkeeper-batter G Kamalini. Nat Sciver-Brunt is expected to be a crucial contributor with both bat and ball for the Mumbai Indians.

Squad changes

MI’s buys included Disha Kasat, Shweta Sehrawat, Bharti Rawal, and Akshita Bhagat. Her absence has been filled by the acquisition of Vidarbha keeper Latika Inamdar. The presence of USA pacer Tara Norris, who was traded in from the UP Warriorz, allows the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side the option to field five foreigners in a match, as per the Associate nation player rules.

Predicted XI

Sportstar’s probable XI is Hayley Matthews, Amelia Kerr, Nat Sciver-Brunt, Harmanpreet Kaur, Amanjot Kaur, Rahila Firdous, Sajana Sajeevan, Nicola Carey, Vaishnavi Sharma, Shabnim Ismail and Tara Norris.

Full squad

Sportstar listed the full 18-player squad as Harmanpreet Kaur, Nat Sciver-Brunt, Hayley Matthews, Amanjot Kaur, Amelia Kerr, Shabnim Ismail, Sanskriti Gupta, Sajana Sajeevan, Rahila Firdous, Nicola Carey, Vaishnavi Sharma, Tara Norris, Disha Kasat, Latika Inamdar, Bharti Rawal, Saanika Chalke, Shweta Sehrawat and Akshita Bhagat.

What happens next

Mumbai Indians will use the full 18-player squad for the upcoming WPL 2027 season.
