AC Milan travel to Genoa for a Serie A match on Sunday, November 8, 2026, at Stadio Luigi Ferraris, with kick-off at 15:00 CET. Davide Massa will referee the game, with Camplone as VAR.

Ruben Amorim’s side hopes to restore order after failing to build on their derby win against Ferencvaros. The match comes amid a difficult injury situation for Milan, with seven players on the sidelines, including Samuel Chukwueze, Strahinja Pavlovic and Alexis Saelemaekers.

Pavlovic missed the Ferencvaros game due to severe stomach pain and remains unavailable. Matteo Gabbia, Fikayo Tomori, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Terracciano are also injured. Mike Maignan returns between the sticks after serving a suspension in the Europa League.

He will have a defence of Mario Gila, Koni De Winter, Sankhoun Diawara and Pervis Estupinan ahead of him, with the left flank being the main worry there.

In midfield, Ardon Jashari will be demoted to the bench as Luka Modric starts from the beginning, partnering with Yunus Musah in a tandem. Adrien Rabiot is expected to have a slightly more advanced role.

Diego Moreira and Christian Pulisic will be the danger men on the attacking flanks, looking to replicate their success against Inter in the derby. Goncalo Ramos needs to get going with his goalscoring after bagging just two league goals so far.

Amorim could turn to Davide Bartesaghi, Jashari, Omari Hutchinson and Alphadjo Cisse from the bench, with Francesco Camarda also available.

Ruben Amorim did not hold a press conference earlier due to the tight schedule, so there are no new takeaways from him, though post-match interviews on Thursday suggested he expects more from his players at the Marassi.

Genoa appointed Daniele De Rossi after a disastrous start to the 2025-26 season under Patrick Vieira, during which the club sat rock bottom between the 7th and 9th matchdays.

De Rossi quickly brought Genoa above the relegation zone and kept them there, finishing seven points clear at the end of last season.

He was confirmed for the current campaign, and despite a dodgy start with one draw and four defeats in the first five games, Genoa have recorded four wins and one defeat in the five games since.

AC Milan, founded in 1899, competes in Serie A, the top tier of Italian football. The club plays its home games at San Siro, shared with Inter Milan since 1947, with a total capacity of 75,817. Milan contests the Derby della Madonnina with Inter.

The 2026-27 season is Milan’s 128th season in existence and their 93rd season in the top flight of Italian football. In addition to Serie A, Milan is participating in the Coppa Italia and UEFA Europa League.
