India pacer Prasidh Krishna was declared fit for the two-match Test series against New Zealand starting on November 19, Sportstar reported on Tuesday. The right-arm fast bowler missed the five-match ODI series starting in Auckland because of a left hamstring injury.

India Today said his return strengthens India's pace attack for an important World Test Championship assignment. RevSportz noted that Krishna sustained the hamstring injury during the second ODI against the West Indies in September and has been at the BCCI's Centre of Excellence ever since.

He underwent match simulations at the Centre of Excellence on October 22 and 24 before completing another round on November 1 and 2. He has since received clearance from the medical team.

RevSportz said he was ruled out of the ODI series against New Zealand, which begins on Wednesday. Auqib Nabi, who was initially named for the fourth and fifth ODIs, was added to the squad for the first three matches as well.
