## Article

Mohun Bagan Super Giant will host Odisha FC at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on Thursday in an Indian Super League 2026-27 fixture. The table-topper leads the standings with nine points from four matches and has won its last three games. Sportstar reported that head coach Panagiotis Dilmperis warned against complacency ahead of the encounter.

## Why it matters

Mohun Bagan holds first place in the ISL points table with nine points from four matches. Odisha FC sits in 10th spot with two points from three matches and is still searching for its first victory of the campaign. The Mariners maintain a perfect home record this season, having edged past Chennaiyin FC 1-0 and Punjab FC 2-1 at Salt Lake Stadium.

## Team news and tactics

Dilmperis is managing injury concerns. Sahal Abdul Samad has been a new addition to the list of doubtful starters and joins Jamie Maclaren, Miguel Figueira and Lalengmawia Ralte, who have missed a significant part of the campaign. The Greek tactician stressed the need for greater intensity, saying, "We have to be more aggressive at home." Lee Erwin, Manvir Singh and Serbian forward Dejan Drazic offer Mohun Bagan viable attacking options.

## Odisha’s challenge

G. Purushothaman faces the difficult task of lifting a side that has struggled to find consistency in the opening phase of the season. Odisha has a 33-member squad, including five foreign players, offering Purushothaman a range of options.

Brazilian forward Everton Nascimento and Palestinian attacker Mahmoud Eid are expected to provide the attacking spark, while Indian internationals Nandhakumar Sekar and Rahim Ali will also be expected to contribute in the final third.

## What happens next

Mohun Bagan will face Odisha FC at Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on Thursday. Earlier in the day, Churchill Brothers will take on NorthEast United at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Fatorda.
